Chocolate and confectionery cold storage.
Deliver and Store started as a chocolate business in 1987, so storing and moving chocolate is where our cold chain began. We hold chocolate and confectionery in an odour-free chiller band at 10°C to 15°C at Deception Bay in Brisbane and Welshpool in Perth, then pick, pack and deliver it on refrigerated runs. One HACCP-certified provider from the coolroom to your customer’s door.
Why chocolate needs specialist storage
Heat softens chocolate, temperature swings can cause bloom (the white film that makes stock look old), and chocolate absorbs smells from anything stored nearby. Our storage is set up around all three.
Chocolate storage in Brisbane and Perth
Two sites, the same chiller band and the same odour-free rules at both.
From coolroom to customer
Chocolate is most at risk when it changes hands. We store, pick, pack and deliver it ourselves, so there is no handover where the cold chain breaks, including through Easter and Christmas peaks.
Chocolate and confectionery storage questions
What temperature do you store chocolate at?
We hold chocolate and confectionery in our chiller band at 10°C to 15°C, away from heat and strong smells. Lines that need colder conditions can go in our cold band (1°C to 5°C) or frozen band (−18°C) at the same site.
Why does odour-free storage matter for chocolate?
Chocolate and confectionery absorb smells from products stored near them. We don’t store or carry raw meat, poultry, seafood or other strong-smelling products at either depot, so your stock comes out tasting the way it went in.
Where do you store chocolate and confectionery?
At two sites: Unit 4, 18–20 Imboon Street, Deception Bay QLD 4508 (Brisbane), and 29–31 Division Street, Welshpool WA 6106 (Perth). Both are open Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm.
Can you deliver chocolate in summer?
Yes. Deliveries go out on refrigerated vehicles, with temperature logged from loading through to proof of delivery, so chocolate stays protected from Queensland and WA heat.
Can you handle Easter and Christmas stock?
Yes. Short-term and seasonal space lets you bring stock in ahead of peak periods and scale back afterwards, without building or running your own coolroom.
Do you have experience with confectionery?
Confectionery is where we started. The business began as a chocolatier in 1987 and has been a Lindt Wholesale Distributor since 1999. Our Perth site also has a confectionery retail outlet offering Lindt and other brands, open to the public.
